BOLTON LANDING - The 2009 Junior Prom of Bolton Central School will be held Saturday, May 2 at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing. Introductions of the Junior Class members and their dates will begin at 5 p.m.
Parents and guests are invited to view the Prom's Grand March from Dollar Island Terrace at the Sagamore.
The Junior Prom itself is reserved for students only and will be held in the Shelving Rock Terrace. Parents and guests are asked to honor this student request. Transportation for the entire evening will be provided for all prom participants,
A pre-prom assembly will be held Friday, May 1 at 1:15 p.m. in the school gymnasium for all students in grades 9-12. Also, the school Parent-Teacher Organization and the school are jointly sponsoring a substance-free supervised post-prom party at Adventure Racing , from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Food, fun and prizes will be available throughout this all-night event.
All students will be transported at 4 a.m. from Adventure Racing to the Bolton Firehouse, where breakfast will be provided by the Bolton Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary.
An informational meeting for parents is scheduled for Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria to review the entire prom itinerary.
The Bolton Central PTO is seeking donations for the party, so that there is no cost to the students. A fundraiser is being held for the after-prom event on April 25 at the Bolton Firehouse with a dunking booth, arts & crafts, hot dogs, bingo, car wash and more.
