Johansen named as Chamber's V.I.P.

HORICON - History buff and community activist Tom Johansen of Horicon has been chosen as the North Warren Chamber of Commerce's Very Important Person of 2009.

Johansen was chosen from many deserving nominations, a Chamber official said this week.

Johansen serves as president of the Horicon Historical Society, a member of the Warren County Historical Society board of directors, a member of the Board of Friends of the Horicon Free Public Library and on the North Warren Chamber's board of directors.

Johansen is very active in the Chamber and also in the community, and always willing to assist whenever needed, a Chamber representative said. Also, Johansen has delivered meals on wheels for many years.

He will be honored at a banquet on May 1 at Jimbo's Club in Brant lake. For reservations, call Jimbo's at 494-4460 or 494-3213. Reservations must be made by April 24.
