A great big thank you goes out from Evie and family to the anonymous person who brought a big box of Easter surprises and left it on the porch. That box wa packed full of edible items, plus there was a very beautiful blossomed Easter plant. Thank you so much!

Get well wishes are out to Richard Wormwood, Hial Hall, Charlotte Brandt, Doris Baker, Charlie Dingman, and Irene Lamphier.

The town wide sale is coming soon. There will be volunteers at the town hall Thursday April 30, on Friday May 1 and Saturday May 2 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone can stop by to get signed up for the May 16 and 17 town wide sale. The fee is still $3 which pays for the ads for the sale. Sellers will need to submit their address and a short list of items which will be in their sale.Volunteers are needed to help on the sign-up dates, and to post sale signs. us? There is a leash law for all dogs in the town of Thurman. The town's animal control officer can be reached at 623-9810.

Upcoming meetings, events

An open house of the local weight-control TOPS group will be held 2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday April 30 at the Thurman Town Hall. All are welcome to attend and learn about how to eat healthy and lose weight while having fun.

A county-sponsored rabies clinic will be held in Lake George at the firehouse on Saturday April 25 from 10 a.m. to noon for area residents. For information, call 761-6580.

On Tuesday April 28 the Women's Bible Study Group meets at 9:30 a.m.. Call 623-2007 or 623-3843 for location.
