Congratulations to the winners of the Easter egg hunt held April 4 and about 75 people coming out to see the Easter bunny who was hopping about and scratching his ears. There were seven lucky winners going home with some nice prizes. A total of 400 eggs were found by eager children, who came from surrounding towns as well as Thurman.
There are government employees out and about collecting information and mapping for the US census coming up in 2010. Don't' panic if you see someone walking around and wanting information or using the new hand held GPS unit. They do have identification with them.
