Controversial comedian to make Rutland debut

Andrew Dice Clay, the self-proclaimed Undisputed Heavyweight Comedy King, will bring his controversial comedy to the Paramount Theatre on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. for one show only. The show marks the first collaborative venture between the Paramount and Chris Karr, owner of the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington.

Clay made a career out of being the most outrageous comic of his time. Before Chappelle, before South Park, Dice was shocking audiences-breaking the rules with a never-before-seen style of hardcore, X-rated comedy. When he released his album, "Dice," the parental advisory label dispensed with the usual list and cut to the chase: "Warning: This album is offensive."

His rise to fame was meteoric - with sold-out arenas, platinum albums, and starring roles in films and T.V. specials.

To this day, Clay remains the only comedian banned for life from MTV.
