Wealth of talent will drive the Orange

INDIAN LAKE - Indian Lake/Long Lake is once again a baseball powerhouse in the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference. In 2009, starters are returning from last years championship team, which went 8-0 in the MVAC and 15-2 overall.

"I believe we will be a very competitive team this year - pitching will be strong with Alex, Jeff, Jordan and Kris Bain all returning pitchers," Coach John Reynolds said.

Featuring an offensive line-up that is sure to strike fear in opposing pitchers, there will be no shortage of runs for the Orange.

The power of Jeff Reynolds and Wallace propelled the offense last year, and there is no reason to doubt the 'bash brothers' won't have similar results in 2009.

The pitching staff rotates around ace Alex Smith, who has been recruited by St. Lawrence University. Senior Jordan Monthony and junior Kris Bain can also be dominant on the mound.

With all of this talent, opponents will dread meeting the Orange.
