The first 150 registrants will receive a free T-shirt commemorating this year's Race for Stace which is encouraged to be worn the day of the event. In addition, all participants will receive a free surprise gift.
The walk/run will follow the same route as last year, ending back at the PARC Oval where there the winners of the run and the 2009 scholarship honoree will be announced. Participants will also be treated to refreshments courtesy of the events many sponsors, said Frechette, and entertainment will be provided. The after-event celebration will also include a silent auction, raffling of gift baskets, free massages and giveaways.
"We're really trying to have something for everyone," said Frechette.
Pre-registration will be held in the Emmaus Room of St. Peter's Church on Cornelia Street Friday, April 24, from 3-5 p.m. Forms will also be available in Plattsburgh at Warren Tire Service Center, 13 Broad St., and Bark's Convenience Store - the Shell gas station of Exit 36 of Interstate 87 - and Chazy Central Rural School, 609 Miner Farm Road in Chazy.
