PLATTSBURGH - More than 30,000 people in the North Country have diabetes or are at risk for diabetes. On Wednesday, April 29, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., the Plattsburgh Public Library is offering a diabetes update, led by a registered dietitian from the North Country Diabetes Project. The meeting is free and open to the public.
The program will include self-risk assessment, standards of care update, techniques for diabetes prevention and management, and local diabetes resources. Those who attend may enter a drawing for a prize worth $50 and take advantage of samples, coupons and giveaways. Learn what you can do to prevent this disease.
The diabetes update will be held in the fully accessible Library auditorium on the second floor.
