PLATTSBURGH - The 2009 Autism Awareness Walk will be held this Sunday, April 19, at the PARC Oval on the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base. The walk is held annually to raise money for local autism programs.
This year's event will begin with registration and activities at 10 a.m. and continue with the walk at 11 a.m.
Those interested in receiving a pledge form, volunteering to help with the walk or making a donation toward the event, may contact organizer Laura Carmichael at 570-7225 or visit the walk's Web site at www.autismawarenesswalk.org.
Those unable to attend the event may still send donations in care of Autism Awareness Walk to P.O. Box 1036, Dannemora N.Y. 12929.
