Of the applicants receiving funding, there were five new applicants and three artist-initiated projects. A panel of seven regional Essex and southern Franklin county residents who are professionals in their fields, evaluated the project proposals. The group of panelists included: artists, art administrators, musicians, a town supervisor and others whom reflect a broad-based representation of the cultural needs of our communities.
The ACNA Board of Trustees approved the panel's recommendations. All requests to the Decentralization Program are intended to serve and benefit local residents and are open to public attendance and/or participation.
The next deadline for the 2010 DCA Grants will be in early October 2009.
