Bakers Mills News 4/11/09

On Monday, April 27, there will be a demonstration from the Mutt and Lab Animal Rescue at the Senior Citizen Meal Center in North Creek. A Pot Luck Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and a short meeting will follow. The Animal Rescue Team will bring a few of their animal friends and any donations for the animals will be greatly appreciated. All 50 plus are welcome to attend. They will be happy to see everyone that will join them.

There was a good gathering for Palm Sunday and the meal following the morning worship at Sodom Church.

Remember the Sunrise Service on Gore Easter Morning. Be at Gore by 6:30 a.m. and dress warm for the service on top of the mountain. A full buffet will be available for a good price.

The yearly Spaghetti Supper put on by Community Compassions will be held May 2 at the Wevertown Community Center. The time is from 4 to 6pm. Take outs available. The Community Compassions meeting on Monday April 6 will agree on the price and will be listed next week.

Deann Lawrence was pleased for all the ones that joined in her candlelite party on Saturday. Heaps of fun and lots of new items.

Linda Whitney, son, Shane and family from Mississippi are visiting family and friends for a few days. Linda is the daughter of Pansy Allen. Seventeen of their family met at the Golden Corral in Saratoga on Saturday night and enjoyed the great evening.

There will be an Autism Awareness Walk in Glens Falls in May. Please watch the papers and sponsor someone that will be walking.

This is the time of year that the snow is melting, wind is blowing, still snow flurries, raking and cleaning.
