Church plans services

NORTH CREEK - The North River United Methodist Church and the North Creek United Methodist Church will worship together on Easter Sunday, April 12, at 9 a.m. In the North Creek Church. All in the community are invited to join in this celebration of the renewal of life. The service will be led by Rev. Kristi Van Patten, Pastor of the North Creek church.

Van Patten announced special worship services for Holy Week at the North Creek United Methodist Church as follows:

Thursday April 9, at 7 p.m. the church will have a Service of Communion.

Good Friday, April 10, at 7 p.m. there will be a Good Friday Service of Prayer and Meditation.

Easter Sunday April 12, the Church will have its Easter Service at 9 a.m. This service will be followed by a time for coffee and conversation. Members of the North River United Methodist Church, as well as all others from the community who wish to join with us in the Easter Celebration of the Renewal of Life will be cordially welcomed.

The North Creek United Methodist choir will join with other community church choirs for a Service of Tenebrae in the St. James Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on Tuesday April 7. This musical "service of darkness" will recall events in the last days of Christ before the crucifixion.

All are welcome to attend each of these Holy Week events.
