A 20-year-old Granville, N.Y., man was charged last week for counterfeiting. New York State Police alleged Mark Bardin, age 20, made counterfeit $20 bills in the home of his parents where he resides.
Because of the first-degree forgery charge, Bardin was taken into custody. He was housed at the Washington County Jail in Fort Edward on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond bail.
State Police said Bardin floated a few poorly faked $20 bills locally with the lone serial number GF37968293C.
