Voter registration days Oct. 2, 11

There will be two voter registration days in Essex County this year: Thursday, Oct. 2 from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To be eligible to vote in the Nov. 4 election, registration forms must be hand delivered to the Board of Elections or postmarked by 5 p.m. Oct. 10, or you may register at a local registration event Saturday, Oct. 11. Voter registration forms, absentee ballot applications and military/federal registration forms will be available. You are encouraged to make sure that the military ballot mailing address of any of your family members in the armed forces is current so that those serving their country may receive their military absentee in a timely fashion. The voter registration events will be held at the following area town halls: Elizabethtown Town Hall, Jay Town Hall, Keene Town Hall, Lake Placid Town Hall, St. Armand Town Hall and Wilmington Town Hall.
