Lapham Gallery presents art that inspires and informs

GLENS FALLS The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Councils Lapham Gallery presents its Autumn exhibition, Process & Purpose; Art that Inspires & Informs opening Oct. 3 and running through Nov. 1. The exhibit is made up of strong, cohesive presentations of collective work from five regional artists. Local oil painter, Nancy Ness, displays reference photos and small oil studies alongside her large finished pieces, to demonstrate the process between conceptualization to completion. An opening reception for the artists open to the public is celebrated Friday, Oct. 3, from 5-7 p.m.., including light refreshments and musical entertainment. Tom Ryan is scheduled to demonstrate his watercolor technique Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 7-9 p.m. and Don Polunci presents an informative program on the plight of the short-eared owl Thursday, Oct. 16, from 5-7 p.m.; both programs reflect the focus of Process & Purpose; Art that Inspires & Informs.
