PRIDE to host workshop

TICONDEROGA The Ticonderoga Main Street Partnerships Design Committee will sponsor a window design workshop featuring designer Michael Valente Monday, Sept. 29. The free two-hour workshop will take place at the PRIDE office at 111 Montcalm St. at 1 p.m. The workshop will present the basics in window design and is intended for all business owners who have storefronts. We are hoping that all our Ticonderoga businesses will find the time to join us and leave with the knowledge to assist them in creating a visual display that will serve as both a marketing tool and a creative representation of their services, said Design Committee Chairwoman Susan Rathbun. Valente is owner of FOZ, Inc., a visual merchandising business based in the Burlington, Vt., area and has worked with a number of client merchants such as Mayfair, Champlain Mill, Bennington Potters and the Skirack. After a discussion on the basics of window design, Valente will stage and demonstrate a model window design by using the PRIDE window as his canvas. Interested business owners are asked to RSVP at 585-6366 or via email at sreynolds@prideofticoderoga.org.
