Sentinels dominate CVAC meet

Ticonderoga dominated the race in posting a pair of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys cross country wins Sept. 9. The Sentinels took the top four places en route to a 16-43 win against AuSable valley and a 16-47 decision against Northeastern Clinton. Jay Berube won the race in 18 minutes, 40 seconds. He was followed by teammates Brendan Carberry, Josh Cook and Matt Nolan. Alex Walters was seventh, Mike Barber 10th, Kevin Densmore 11th and Ben Karkoski 12th for Ti. Ticonderoga beat AuSable Valley, 15-50, and lost to NCCS, 20-43, in the girls race. Katie Karkoski paced the Sentinels, finishing second. Amber Perkins was 10th and Brittany Holt 13th for Ti.
