Penfield trustees thankful

To the Times of Ti: The Penfield Homestead Museum Board of Trustees wishes to thank the following people and businesses for a very successful Heritage Day 2008. Each year we are amazed at the support given to this museum and its efforts to preserve the history of Crown Point and her people, as well as, our neighbors. The board truly appreciates the efforts of the First Congregational Church, its members, organist, Patricia Knapp and pastor, Rev. David Hirtle; the members of the LaChute Road Runners and all who participated in this years 10K race; the members of A.E. Phelps Fire & Rescue, the town of Crown Point highway crew and our groundskeepers, Karen and Bill Buell. At this time we wish to thank Joe and Cindy Bodette, owners of Frenchmans Restaurant in Crown Point for their generous and continuing support of all our fund raising efforts; Bud and Betty Dolback and the Pit Crew for a fantastic meal; the Dessert/Soda Shack crew; all of the community baked bean and dessert makers; the crafters and vendors who joined us under the tent or in the open-air; the Vermont Air Guard crew and their bouncy obstacle course and our lady at the loom, Joyce Barry. The board wishes to acknowledge the important contributions of Becky Skinner Thebeau, Matt Skinner, Tracy Velasquez, Joyce Lash, Greg Furness, Pam and George Goodwin, Jane Hayes, Marie Yelle and all the volunteers who generously give of their time and efforts. It is only through our friends and neighbors continuing support that Penfield Homestead Museum exists today. Many people gave donations on Heritage Day and we thank you all. One was a very special gift from Omer Hudon, who wished to acknowledge his family, Oscar and Cora Hudon, Paul and Margaret Hudon and Maurice L. Hudon. He also wished to remember his Crown Point neighbors and friends, Alfred and Geneva Bemis, Clarke and Marjorie Towne, Joseph and Lillian Perkins, Richard Perkins, Dan and Emma Runedille, Frank and Rosie Stone, Arthur and Hazel Betts and Will and Nellie Whitford. A big thank you to anyone we may have missed and we hope to see you all at Applefolkfest on Oct 12. Kama Lee Ingleston Board of Trustees Penfield Homestead Museum
