Shelburne event focuses on lake

SHELBURNE All Souls Interfaith Gathering is celebrating Lake Champlain at its annual Choral Celebration for Peace and Healing in the Historic Breeding Barn at Shelburne Farms. On Sunday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m., the celebration will be an opportunity to gather in the soaring space of the 19th century barn and explore the spiritual and cultural significance of Lake Champlain through music and the observations of someone who has a close connection to the lake. Inspirational speaker Buzz Hoerr of the Vermont Citizen's Advisory Committee, will share what he has learned in his travels and studies about how history and spirituality can help us improve our fresh water lakes, and about the importance of thoughtful public participation in caring for these significant resources. There will be choral works sung by the All Souls Choir, In Accord Vocal Ensemble, and the Essex Children's Choir. This event is free and the public is welcome to attend.
