Do you know your ABCs of farming?

SHELBURNE The ABCs of Farm Education will be held Oct. 19-20 at Shelburne Farms. Are you just starting to explore the possibilities of opening your farm for education? You can discover exciting, hands-on ways to develop agricultural education programs for school groups with child-tested, easy-to-use activities from Project Season, a printed collection of seasonal, multi-age activities and teaching ideas developed by teachers and agriculture educators over the past 20 years. Shelburne Farms farmyard, woodlots, pastures and gardens will be your campus. The Vermont Farms staff will lend its expertise in marketing and biosecurity. Fee: $200/workshop (includes all materials & meals. Limited accommodations available for additional fee.) Scholarships available.
