Wallingford A.T. hiker to speak

WALLINGFORD The Wallingford Historical Society will host a presentation by Cynthia Taylor-Miller Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at the town hall on School Street in Wallingford. A Wallingford resident of 23 years, long-distance hiker and bicyclist Taylor Miller has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail three times, the entire Long Trail three times, and traversed the United States on her bicycle three times. She is the Appalachian Trail New Hampshire/Vermont Guide Book editor and previous editor of the Appalachian Trail Thru-Hikers' Companion. She will show images past and present of the Long Trail and conjunct Appalachian Trail in Vermont as it passes through the borders of the Town of Wallingford, from Little Rock Pond to Patch's Hollow and beyond. The event is open to the public, free, handicapped accessible.
