Hamlet to drop by Paramount Theatre

RUTLAND Bruce Bouchard of the Paramount Theatre announced a special Sept. 12 production of the widely acclaimed production of Hamlet from Shakespeare and Company of Lenox, Mass. The curtain rises at 7 p.m. This nationally and internationally respected Bard company has been producing in the Berkshires for 31 years. The production brings together a stellar cast including Artistic Director Tina Packer as Queen Gertrude, her son Jason Asprey as Hamlet, and husband Dennis Krausnick as Polonius. The production will be directed by long-time company member Eleanor Holdridge. The full Equity cast in addition to Asprey, Krausnick and Packer, includes Kenajuan Bentley (Guildenstern), Johnny Lee Davenport (King Hamlet, Gravedigger, Player King), Nigel Gore (Claudius), Kevin ODonnell (Laertes), Elizabeth Raetz (Ophelia), with newcomers Alex Sovronsky (Rosencrantz) and Jake Waid (Horatio).
