Hay fire prompts investigation

WESTON On Aug. 25, at approximately 4:58 a.m., the Weston Fire Department was dispatched to 769 Route 100 in Weston for a fire. On arrival they observed smoke coming from the hay bales. The fire was quickly extinguished. Fire Chief Dave Jarvis contacted the Vermont State Police and requested an investigation. A fire investigator from the Vermont State Police was dispatched to conduct an investigation. The investigation showed the cause of this fire was incendiary. Four hay bales were damaged. Estimated value is $200. There were no reported injuries as a result of this fire.
