BRISTOL Customers of the Shaws Supermarket in Bristol were surprised when they walked through the doors on Oct. 24. The newly remodeled 16,000-square-foot store located at 7 Prince Ln. now has more to offer in many categories which provides customers with a large selection of the freshest produce, as well as natural and organic products in dairy, grocery, produce and frozen foods. With its new format, the Bristol Shaws offers customers a new shopping experience by offering products that are healthy, easy to find and easy to prepare combined with outstanding customer service. In addition, Bristol customers found a completely new Wild Harvest section. Also, a revamped produce department offerd greater variety to customers. A ribbon-cutting to reopen the store took place Oct. 24 with town officials from Bristol, along with Shaws executives, in attendance. From the product selection to the new design and layout, we strive to tailor our stores to the community and we are very proud that the Bristol Shaws supermarket achieves that goal, said Larry Wahlstrom, president of Shaws. This remodel brings greater selection and variety to our customers. We look forward to continuing to bring the best of Shaws to the residents of Bristol and the surrounding towns for many years to come. As part of the ceremony, a donation was made to the Have a Heart Food Shelf in the amount of $2,000. The new store format is part of a total store experience that is key to keeping customers happy. It combines fresh, quality perishables and a variety of products tailored to the local community that are merchandised in an appealing and convenient way, along with d飯r and fixtures that showcase the items. The expanded bakery and deli departments serve to drive home the message of a new Shaws concept by offering hundreds of innovative items. Completing the experience is great customer service. The store is managed by Dan Griffiths, who has been with Shaws for 12 years. The store has approximately 42 associates. The Bristol Shaws is open from 8 a.m.9 p.m. every day.
