OTTG cheers things up with "Something to Laugh About"

NORTH CREEK Its been a dismal fall season this year except for the weather! Our Town Theatre Groups (OTTG) antidote for this is a cheery evening entitled Something to Laugh About. It is an ensemble of five short comedies exploring the absurdities of dating, acting and relationships, directed by Filomena Riviello. It will be performed Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Tannery Pond Community Center (TPCC). One play, The Spot by Steven Dietz, is a spoof on casting the perfect electoral ad. Three plays explore the dating game, including Surprise by Mark Harvey Levine, Post-Its by Paul Dooley and Winnie Holzman and Check, Please by Jonathan Rand. Finally, there is a bad play for worse actors, who-done-it entitled There Shall be no Bottom by Mark ODonnell. Some of our favorite local actors will be seen in these comedies, including Alma Alvarez, Bob Foley, Mary Ellen Dowling, Ann Hornbeck, Mary Ann Sauro, Andy Studdiford and Dennis Wilson. Newer to the scene, John Gable and Jim Kreis will have important roles.
