SARANAC LAKE The Rustic Riders will be celebrating the release of their debut CD Hearing Hearts Sunday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at Bluseed Studios. Multi-instrumentalist and producer Dan Duggan will be joining Lisa Meissner, Klaus Meissner and Bill Chamberlain. The Rustic Riders play original music by Lisa Meissner that is infused with a traditional sensibility. Admission is $10 and CDs will be available for sale. Refreshments will be served. Hearing Hearts was produced and recorded by Dan Duggan at his studio Esperance Productions in Red Creek, NY. The album features 13 songs written by Lisa and brought to life by Dan, Klaus and Bill. Peggy Lynn assisted with harmony vocals on the tune Crossing. In addition to the 13 songs on the CD they will play some of the over 80 tunes Lisa has written. The topics range from love to struggle, from the state of our world to the gifts of grace. They speak to growing through the changes in our lives with humor and humility. Lisa will be playing the guitars Klaus built and singing in her clear alto voice. Klaus provides much more than a back beat on conga, bongos, djembe, doumbeck, and snare drums. Chamberlain will be joining Klaus and Lisa Meissner for this celebration. Chamberlain is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has played and recorded with folks in the east and west. He was an accompanist at the International Folk Alliance Conference last spring and the Philadelphia Folk Festival last summer. He is a consummate creative listener who brings the music alive.
