TICONDEROGA In recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Inter-Lakes Health is holding an Open House at its Early Prevention Center, on the second floor of Moses-Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga. The event, which includes a tour of the center, free information kits and a drawing for gift baskets, will be held Tues. Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is through early detection that thousands of women are alive today, because their breast cancer was found following a routine mammogram and treated. At the Open House, visitors will be able to see the screening machines, ask questions and discuss issues with the trained technologists. Call 518-585-3758 for information.
