Church concert to benefit child burn victim

WARRENSBURG A lineup of gospel musicians will be appearing at the First Baptist Church Oct. 26 to help raise funds for the family of a local boy who suffered substantial burns in an accident, church Pastor Roger Richards said. Appearing at the 6:30 p.m. concert at the church will be the Adirondack Gospel Trio and two couples, the Olsons and the Kwakas. A love offering will be collected to help the family of Mike Duell, an 11-year-old Warrensburg Elementary student who was badly burned on his legs during a woodworking accident at home. Both parents were forced to miss several weeks of work while Mike was in treatment for his burns and while he was at the burn center. Those who cant make the concert but would still like to help out are urged to mail a tax-deductible contribution to First Baptist Church, 3850 Main St., Warrensburg, NY 12885. For more information, contact Roger or Naomi Richards at 623-9373 or 260-9710.
