Local flu, pneumonia clinics to open

RUTLAND The Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice and Dorset Nursing Association, with support from Omya and the Coalition for Adult Immunization in the Rutland Region, are hosting the following flu and pneumonia vaccination clinics: Monday, Oct. 27, at St. Marys Church Hall in Fair Haven between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Ira Town Hall between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at College of St. Joes between 9a.m. and noon. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Castleton Community Center in Castleton between 9 and 11a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at St. Patricks Church Hall in Wallingford between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Community Church in Pawlet between 2 and 4 p.m. The clinics are open to all adults age 18 years and over. Individuals who have Medicare Part B need only bring their card to receive the flu and/or pneumonia vaccine. For all others, the cost for the flu immunization is $33 and the cost for the pneumonia vaccine is $53. Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
