Bolton girls best Indian Lake in Division II/III Championship

SCHROON LAKE The Bolton girls soccer team controlled both ends of the field in defeating Indian Lake-Long Lake, 3-0, in the Mountain and Valley Division II/III Championship on Wednesday. The Eagles move on to play Division I champion Chazy at 2 p.m. Saturday at Willsboro. Beth Fisher led Bolton with two goals, while Katie Bliley had two assists. Grace Cady added the other score. Allison Pine made 12 saves for the Orange, while Rosey Denne made four to earn the shutout for Bolton. Bolton coach Francisco Roca cited the play of defender Taylor Grover, who shut down IL-LL leading scorer Carli Reynolds, and back line mates Charlotte Caldwell and Taylor Cronquist in setting the tone of the game.
