Car show set for Sunday at Gaslight plot

LAKE GEORGE A variety of street rods, antique and classic vehicles and muscle cars are expected to be on display in a car show planned for Sun. Oct. 12 at the former Gaslight Village plot in Lake George Village. The event, to be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., is a fundraiser for the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds will go towards the firefighters expenses in hosting the 120th annual Hudson VAlley Volunteer Firemens Convention in the village. Sport compacts, Tuners, SUVs, motorcycles and trucks are also welcome, organizers said. Dash plaques will be given out to the first 100 entries, and trophies will be awarded at 3:30 p.m. Registration is $15 at the gate. Admission for spectators is $3 for adults and $1 for students. The event, to be held rain or shine, will include food vendors, games, music, and raffles. The entry gate is located on Westbrook Rd. northbound.
