Ti Knights of Columbus host recognition dinner

TICONDEROGA Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus Council #333 held a spaghetti dinner honoring members and Past Grand Knights recently. Members with more than 25 years service hitting five year increment milestones and Past Grand Knights (PGK) were honored. The members received pins depicting their years of service and the PGKs received pins for their service as Grand Knights. Don Gijanto Sr presided over the ceremony and Ralph Corbo presented the pins to the members with approximately 40 members and guests in attendance. The dinner was prepared and served by several members under the leadership of Carmine Gijanto. There were 33 members and PGKs eligible with 19 receiving the pins that night. Once again there were stories shared from the past for all to enjoy, said David Baird. There were a few comments regarding who was the youngest member to become a Grand Knight. All had to agree the oldest, youngest Past Grand Knight was the Honorable Dominic Viscardi who served 1952 to 1953. It was a fun, enjoyable night with a great dinner. Members honored were: 25 years Michael Whalen; 30 years John McDonald Sr.; 35 years Robert Ledger, Lawrence Matte; 40 years Dean Deso, Ivan Macey; 45 years Anthony Macey; 50 years Bernard Lynn, John Maher, Ernest Tobin; 55 years Dominick Graziano; 60 years Leo Gayzur, Charles Smith. Past Grand Knights honored but unable to attend were James McCarty (67-68), Kevin Gallant (93-94), Chip Lethbridge (94-95), Joseph Vilardo (2000-02) and Joseph Carroll (02-04).
