New restaurant welcomed by Chamber

NORTH CREEK Owners Tom and Sue Stoddard, and Manager Melissa Vaughn recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Ski Bowl Caf_ Guests included the officers and directors of the Gore Mountain Region/Town of Johnsburg Chamber of Commerce. The new caf_located at the intersection of Routes 28 and 28N, North Creek, is reached from Ordway Lane off 28N. It is notable as the only restaurant on Route 28 between Warrensburg and Indian Lake. The caf_ffers a fun menu that includes coffees, pastries, sandwiches, soups, a full breakfast menu, ice creams, and custom made smoothies. It has parking space for more than 15 cars, and can seat 28 diners. The outdoor deck seating offers views of the mountains as well as the Hamlet of North Creek. During the fall season the restaurant will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Owner Tom Stoddard advises that Manager Melissa Vaughn gained her restaurant management experience at several local establishments as well as at Starbucks in Seattle, Washington. He expects the Ski Bowl Caf_o benefit from its location at the entrance to downtown North Creek and its visibility to motorists on Route 28.
