IP grant buys book for Ti MIddle School

TICONDEROGA Thanks to the International Paper Foundation the Ticonderoga Middle School library had many new books ready to be checked out during the first days of school. Mary Lavarnway, the middle school librarian, wrote a grant titled Filling the Gaps to provide the students with the books that are missing from reading series that have been popular with the students. When students read a book from a series and enjoy it, they then look forward to coming into the library and immediately being able to check out the next book in the series, Lavarnway said. Sometimes it is not possible to check that book out since the library may have received the first few books free as a trial. The students will thoroughly enjoy seeing that their library was able to purchase so many requested books thanks to the International Paper grant.
