Jazz pianist in North Creek concert

NORTH CREEK Popular Greenwich Village Jazz Artist Spike Wilner and his trio will perform Sat. Oct. 4in concert at Tannery Pond Community Center. A free pre-concert discussion and workshop will be held at 5:30, and all budding jazz musicians and interested music lovers are encouraged to attend. The concert will feature Spike Wilner on piano, Joe Martin on bass and Joe Strasser on drums. The concert is presented by Upper Hudson Musical Arts. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Hes played with a number of well-known musicians including Tony Bennett, Maynard Ferguson, Wynton Marsalis and Artie Shaw. He has released eight recordings under his name including his most recent, "Three to Go."
