Historical Society to restore 1800's fence posts

FAIR HAVEN The Fair Haven Historical Society will be sponsoring a Festival of Trees as a fund raising event to restore the 19th century marble fence posts in the town park. Scheduled for Dec. 6-7, Fair Haven visitors will have a number of related events to attend. Our Lady of Seven Dolars Catholic Church will be sponsoring its annual Christmas bazaar at the parish hall. On Saturday afternoon, Dec. 6, the First Baptist Church will host a live Nativity reenactment in the park The Festival of Trees will take place at the Fair Haven Legion Hall. The Legion Auxiliary will host a food consession at this event. Rons D.J. Service will provide Christmas music during the event. The Frazier Family Business will sponsor Santa who will be traveling between the Bazaar and the Festival. The tree decorating is open to everyone from individuals to business. Businesses can get great advertising exposure by entering a tree. There will also be a silent auction and basket raffle at the festival. The local historical society will display Fair Haven historical artifacts. Admission to this event will be by donation. If you have some extra time to help you do not have to me a member of the historical society to offer your assistance. The public is also invited to celebrate Fair Havens Charter Day. A pot luck supper will be held at the Fair Haven Grade School on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.
