Festival of Trees kicks off holiday season

FAIR HAVEN Its not too late to enter the Festival of Trees Dec. 5-6 at the Fair Haven American Legion, Post 49. You can display your favorite decorations or donate a tree to the Fair Haven Historical Society Park Marble Fence Post Project or put your tree up for sale at the Festival. The society is also taking donations for a basket raffle. You can give a prepared basket or items for a basket. Other ways to support the project are an advertisement, volunteering working time, or donating money to the project in your name or in memory of someone. The Fair Haven Catholic church is hosting its Christmas bazaar Friday evening and Saturday morning, the Baptist church will have a live Nativity event in the park Saturday at 2 p.m., the Farmers Market Holiday House is being held at the American Legion Sunday, and the Fair Haven Elementary School play will be held Friday evening at the school.
