Don't break the bank just to hear the blues

SARANAC LAKE Does your wallet have the blues? If so, come on down to Bluseed Studios Saturday, Nov. 22 for an inexpensive night of blazin blues music, courtesy of Ray Bonneville. The show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and costs $12 for the general public and $10 for members. The evening will feature cuts from Bonnevilles latest studio album, Goin by Feel. Bonneville has been on tour since the albums release, sharing his laid-back, syncopated guitar riffs, searing harmonica solos and poetic lyrics, generating a huge amount og buzz. Critics are calling Feel one of the best Blues/Americana albums of 2008. Goin by Feel is co-produced with Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams, Mary Gauthier) and Rob Heaney. Bonnevilles hypnotic guitar shines over his powerful, poetically delivered lyrics. Its no wonder he can count among his fans Chris Smither and Ray Wylie Hubbard. Saturday Night Scene is sponsored in part by the Rivendell Foundation and a Developing Community Arts Grant with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program administered locally by the Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks.
