On Nov. 20, librarians and trustees from the 12 public libraries in Addison County will hold a coffee for local legislators at Ilsley Public Library in Middlebury at 8:30 a.m. The trustees and librarians will update lawmakers on current public library issues and future initiatives. Libraries serve Vermonters of all ages and have become central in providing workforce development opportunities to citizens without computer access. The librarians and trustees will explore ways to work together with legislators to inform better the public of issues as they arise during the legislative session. Participating libraries will include Salisbury, Vergennes, Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, Starksboro, New Haven, Orwell, Shoreham, and Middlebury.
