Bluseed presents a "Unique Blend"

SARANAC LAKE Bluseed Studios will host a special exhibition Unique Blend featuring some of the North Countrys finest artisans, beginning Nov. 13 and continuing through Dec. 14. The exhibition features a unique blend of pottery, black-smith iron work, weaving, assemblage/collage art, photography and jewelry. Featured artists include: Amy Coddington-Burnette, Donna Foley, Peter Shrope, Matt Paul, Mary Lou Reid, Brooke Noble, David Woodward, Shelle Bailey, Russ Bailey and Bob Walp. Carol Marie Vossler, executive director of Bluseed, called the exhibition a wonderful start to the holiday season. This is a chance to embrace and support the regional talent while learning about the different artisans who are tucked away amongst our landscape, said Vossler. Each artists craft will be for sale on a cash-and-carry basis. Normally, when a piece of artwork sells, the buyer has to wait until the end of the exhibition to pick up the art. Letting the artwork go lends itself to the spontaneity of the exhibition and the spirit in which the craftsperson makes and sells their work. As the work is sold, the artists will replace it with a new item. For more information about Unique Blend or any Bluseed events, call 891-3799.
