Annual Community Christmas Bazaar

MINERVA The 43rd Annual Minerva Community Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for 4:00-7:30 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 5, at Minerva Central School. The bazaar this year is being organized by Minerva Baptist Ladies assisted by representatives of the various community organizations. The Class of 2011 will be serving dinner/dessert in the cafeteria from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The Cozy Café ¨Student Council) will be serving free hot chocolate all evening so you can take a break from shopping. The lighting of the outside Christmas tree, sing- a-long and the arrival of Santa Claus will start at 6:30 p.m. Some of the items being offered for sale by the participating organizations are pictures with Santa, memory tree memorials, cookie walk, baked items, fudge, hand crafted items, grab bag for kids, mini Chinese auction, gift baskets, fresh wreaths and many drawings for nice items. Each organization will offer a door prize and drawings for these items will take place through out the evening, starting at 5 p.m. Operation Santa Claus is asking for donations of gift wrapping paper, tags, tape, and ribbon and holiday gift bags to give to families receiving gifts from the group.
