PLATTSBURGH A 30-veteran of the national media who served as a foreign correspondent for United Press International and U.S. News & World Report, will discuss his experiences in a talk titled Of Spies and Spokesmen: My Life as a Cold War Correspondent. The discussion will be held Monday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., in the Krinovitz Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh campus. In his talk, Nicholas Daniloff will read from his latest book of the same title. The book is a memoir about his experiences as a journalist behind the Iron Curtain. It discusses how journalists worked with one another to try to foil the KGB, the role of journalism in the Cuban Missile Crisis and more. A book signing will follow the presentation.
