Local child safety to be discussed at college forum

RUTLAND - On Nov. 12, the College of St. Joseph will host a citywide neighborhood discussion in the Tuttle Hall Theater. Local agency representatives will join together to offer a public informational meeting regarding Vermont's Sex Offender Registry and the new Rutland City Child Safety Ordinance.

The panel features Sheri Englert, director of the Vermont Sex Offender Registry, Mike O'Malley, Hans Johnson, and Dave Peebles, representatives from the Agency of Human Services Department of Corrections as well as a representative from the Rutland City Police Department.

This event is co-sponsored by Rutland United Neighborhoods, College of St. Joseph Division of Psychology and Human Services, and College of St. Joseph Division of Criminal Justice. The discussion panel will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
