SHELBURNE Last weeks spectacular sunshine brought out a big crowd for the annual Halloween Parade in Shelburne organized by the Charlotte Shelburne Rotary and Shelburne Parks and Recreation. Falls Road was lined with spectators, many of them in costume, as floats created by local businesses and organizations, antique cars, fire trucks, trucks and wagons loaded with costumed children, a truck carrying the Shelburne Community School band, and dozens of Rotarian-clowns passed. Winning floats: First Place: Haunted Pirate Ship of Shelburne Cub Scout Pack 607 Second Place Cannibilaceous Barber Bistro of Leighs Barber Shop, Shelburne Shopping Park. Third Place: 101 Dalmatians of Shelburne Explorers 4-H Club at Shelburne Farms. Fourth Place: Monster Ball of the Old Shed Bar and Grill in Shelburne Shopping Park. After the hour-long parade, attendees moved to the town center for games and costume judging, and to the Shelburne Volunteer Fire Department for hotdogs served by the Rotary Club members.
