Cat-Scratch Fever's Ted Nugent coming to Champlain Valley Fair

ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. The Bud Light Music Series in the Coca-Cola Grandstand will be rocking with the incomparable guitar genius and intensity of guitarist Ted Nugent and his band Friday, Aug. 29. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 30 at 10 a.m. for Ted Nugents Rolling Thunder 08 Tour through the Flynntix Regional Box Office. Hailing from Detroit, the guitarist's prodigious talents and over-the-top onstage antics quickly earned Nugent the moniker of "Motor City Madman," along with international acclaim. The Champlain Valley Fair concert is at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by 106.7 WIZN. Recognized as the world's leading guitar showman, Nugents no-holds-barred career spans five decades of multi-platinum hits. From the ground breaking Amboy Dukes' "Journey to the Center of the Mind," to classics like "Stranglehold" & "Cat Scratch Fever," Damn Yankees chartbusters like "High Enough," cult classic "Fred Bear," and now Love Grenade, Nugents rapid-fire sonic assaults continue to sell out venues around the globe. This summer Nugent will celebrate his 6,000th concert and the 30th anniversary of California Jam II. To date, Nugent has released more than 31 recordings, and sold more than 35 million albums.
