Local architecture subject of talk

Architectural style in Warrensburgh is the topic of a presentation Thurs., June 12 at 7 p.m. by Delbert Chambers of the Warrensburgh Historical Society, to be held at the Masonic Lodge. Chambers will review 200 years of building development, detailing the evolution of construction techniques from the late eighteenth into the twentieth century, focusing on the periods commonly known as Romantic, Victorian and Eclectic. Many photographs will be used to illustrate the various styles and architectural details. Chambers, who has professional experience in architectural design, hopes to instill an awareness of the communitys architectural heritage. His desire, and that of the Society, is for the preservation of existing buildings of significance, and encourage future construction that reflects the same architectural integrity found in the past. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For information call Steve Parisi at 623-2207.
