Local Students Recognized for Community Service

GLENS FALLS Theyve worked hard through their high school years to be good students and good citizens in their communities. Its this latter aspect of these students lives that was recognized the evening of May 15, at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls. At a dinner and awards ceremony, 24 seniors from schools throughout the area were recognized for their Community Service efforts by the Adirondack Area School Boards Association. Students, parents, school board members and administrators attended the dinner and awards ceremony, which honored these students for the volunteer service they selflessly provide to their communities. Local students honored include: Ryan Leddick of Indian Lake Central School, Ben Cormack of Johnsburg Central School, Emma Corey of Minerva Central School, and Jonas June of Newcomb Central School. Decisions to select these students were coordinated through each school districts Guidance Office. It was a great evening for these deserving students, their families, and their school districts.
