Sentinel thinclads fall

Ticonderoga lost to Seton Catholic in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference track and field action May 20. Ti lost the boys meet, 85-47. Dustin Scott won the high jump and triple jump for the Sentinels. Lee Berube picked up wins in the 800 and 1,600-meter runs for Ti. Also winning for Ticonderoga were Dustin LaFrance in the 400-meter run and Jay Berube in the 3,200-meter run. The victory gave Seton Catholic the CVAC Division II championship. Ti lost the girls meet, 73-53. Elsie Phillips won the 100 and 200-meter sprints, the long jump and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team for the Sentinels. Emily Palmer won the 100-meter hurdles and triple jump and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team. Rounding out the 400 relay team were Ainsley MacAlpine and Lexi Reale. Sarah Bennett won the high jump for Ti. Ti defeated Ticonderoga lost to Saranac in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference track and field action May 15. To lost the boys meet, 72-59. Lee Berube won the 1,600-meter run and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay for the Sentinels. Mike Lonergan won the 3,200-meter run and ran a leg on the winning 3,200-meter relay team. Brendan Carberry and Jay Berube also ran legs on the winning 3,200 relay squad and also ran legs on the winning 1,00-meter relay team for Ticonderoga. Rounding the 1,600 relay squad were Pat Lonergan and Jared Best. Chris Maldonado won the shot and Dustin Scott took the high jump for Ti. Ticonderoga lost the girls match, 94-33. Elsie Phillips won the 100-meter sprint and long jump and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team for the Sentinels. Ainsley MacAlpine won the 400-meter run and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team. Emily Palmer won the 100-meter hurdles and ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team Lexi rounded out the 400-meter relay squad.
