Codes and zoning notice from Town of Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH Code enforcement officers in the town of Plattsburgh will tour the town May 12-23, giving out notices to residents who have junk, debris, garbage and unlicensed/uninspected vehicles in their yard. A re-inspection of those yards of residents who receive a notice will be conducted two weeks from that date and if compliance is still not met, appearance tickets will be issued for appearance in Town Justice Court. Town officials also note New York State has mandated all homes and businesses plainly display the identification number that has been assigned to them by the office of Emergency 911. The numbers and/or letters must be placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. Numbers shall be a minimum of four inches high with a minimum stroke width of a half inch. By places these numbers on your house and mailbox, you could save a life in the event of an emergency.
