MIDDLEBURY Chittenden Bank opened the doors of its new full-service branch and office building located at 114 South Village Green off of Route 7 South. As part of its commitment to community and social responsibility, Chittenden partnered with Bread Loaf Corporation to achieve LEED Certification for the new building. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System is a national standard for measuring and ensuring a projects environmental impact. In celebration of the buildings opening, the bank hosted an open house for all customers and visitors April 17. A ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce and attended by chamber director Andy Mayer, chamber membership director Ted Shambo, property developer Jeff Glassberg, and the Middlebury Chittenden staff. The event included a book signing of complimentary copies of books written by Vermont author Archer Mayor. The larger facility will accommodate the experienced team of Chittenden financial experts who will now be able to serve the Middlebury and Addison County communities all in one place. The bank staff will continue to offer personal banking, business services, commercial lending, mortgage and personal loans, and wealth management.
